Year 7 students have the opportunity to participate in an exciting and challenging day at The Melbourne Cable Park in Bangholme. Students will be working in groups to conquer the High Ropes Course, play Mini Golf and experience the Aqua Fun Park. This is an outdoor adventure day that will be very similar to the experience of a day at camp. Departure: From Timbarra at 9:00am to travel by coach to Melbourne Cable Park. Return: To Timbarra College by 3:10pm. Cost: - $ 82 per student Includes: Coach, Entry to park and all activities. A BBQ lunch and can of soft drink will be provided - Payments will close on Wednesday 12th February. (To allow final numbers to be confirmed with the venue and coach booking) If you wish to use part of your $400 School Savings Bonus for Melbourne Cable Park you need to take the following steps :-
Waiver: Melbourne Cable Park require a signed Waiver form for every student on the day for them to participate in the High Ropes and Aqua Fun Park. These printed forms will be provided to the students in Week 1, Term 1. The waivers must be returned to school by Wednesday 12th February - Water Safety: - Qualified Lifeguards will be on duty at the Aqua Park at all times. - During this activity, students will be required to wear a lifejacket for this entire activity. - All students will be considered Beginner swimmers. If your child does not feel comfortable in the water or have basic swimming skills they are able to stay with their group and encourage their team members from the side of the water. Lunch and Snacks: - A sausage sizzle (sausage in bread) and soft drink lunch will be provided in this cost - Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and additional snacks on the day Student clothing: - Students can wear free dress to the Day Camp. - Students will need to bring swimwear, a towel and a change of dry clothes for the Aqua Fun activity - To protect the students' modesty during the water obstacle course, two piece bathers are not permitted. - T-shirts, singlet tops or rash vest are required for sun protection during the water activity. - The High Ropes course will require closed toes shoes and shorts/pants. Skirts or dresses are not appropriate for this activity. - They should bring weather appropriate clothing - eg. A hat, sunglasses or rain jacket Student Code of Conduct: - The Timbarra Code of Conduct and all school rules apply to this event, including the Mobile Phone Policy. - Students who have breached the Student Code of Conduct may not be eligible to attend this event. |
