Adam Wallce is an Australian children's author most popular for his books Fartboy, Spark, How to Catch a Unicorn and Accidentally Awesome. Adam will visit Timbarra P-9 College Library for students in Years 3-6.

National Reconciliation Week across Australia. The theme for this year is: Now More Than Ever. It is a time for us to focus on understanding our shared history, connection, respect and action.
Throughout the week, students will take part in activities such as: sharing Dreamtime Stories, learning about significant indigenous people, studying the indigenous calendar of seasons, unpacking what reconciliation means and creating indigenous artworks.
On Monday 27th May, we are having a whole College ceremony. It will be in the stadium at 9:10am. There will be musical performances, the announcement of our competition winners and sharing of activities that will be going on in the learning areas.

Foundation to Year 6 Primary Art Show

The Biennial Primary Art Show will take place this term in Week 6 on Wednesday August 16th from 3.15 - 4.15 pm. Every student will have at least one piece of artwork displayed. This year’s title is ‘Framed’ with the main theme of portraits from various artists, styles, countries, cultures and times.

The year 9 cohort will be participating in an interactive exhibition at the Melbourne Museum. This term in Health we are learning about Road Safety. The Road to Zero Exhibition explores how young people can be safe on the roads and students will be participating in creating their own safe driving ad campaigns as part of their assessment. Students will be catching the train to the museum as part of learning how to be safe as pedestrians near roads.
Students will need to have their own Myki Card, with at least $6 on their card already loaded. Students will meet both teachers at Berwick Train Station, at 8:25am. Our train will be leaving at 8:38am.

Timbarra P-9 College is committed to a traffic safety education program for students and Bike Education is a core component of the school’s Health and Physical Education curriculum. The program aims to improve riding skills as well as reinforce traffic safety. The day consists of 2 parts. Part 1 is a revision session, going through some rules and required skills. Part 2, is together with the students, going for a ride on the bike tracks surrounding our school and finishing with a picnic lunch at Kirsty Lottkowitz Reserve (Approximately 800m from the school). This will be a one day program run by: Mr. Stefan Ciccarelli and Mr. Luke Scott, with classroom teachers assisting.
