Students should be using their own bikes and helmets which are already suited to their body size. We therefore strongly encourage children to bring their own bike. For your child’s safety we need to ensure that our school is complying with and fulfilling all DET and legal requirements. Therefore if you wish for your child to use their own bike and helmet, a quick inspection will be done on the day. Please note that if your child’s bike and / or helmet are considered unsafe then they will not be allowed to use it.
We do understand that it may be difficult for all the students and their families to get their bikes to school for Bike Ed. If you are unable to bring your bike please let your classroom teacher know as soon as possible as we will have over 50 students riding at once and the school only has a very limited amount of bikes for students to use.
Bike Storage- Bikes and helmets are to be stored in the stadium side foyer room. This will save congestion in the Bike Shed.
Meals- Recess will be had at school as per normal.
All lunches of participating students will be placed in a tub and will be driven down to the park. We will eat at the park, all together, before returning back to school. Please note: Zooper Doopa icy poles will be available for students to have during picnic lunch at the park. Please advise your teacher if you do not want your child to have an icy pole.
