Selected students have been chosen to represent Timbarra College P-9 at the Berwick District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday, September 6th 2023. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

REMINDERS

• Full School uniform is expected.
• Warm clothes and jackets are recommended
• Snack, lunch and drinks are recommended

AGE GROUPS

• Ages for all events are calculated as of 31^st December, 2023. Your Age group is the age that you turn this year. If you turn 11 or have already turned 11 this year you are in the 11 Age Group.

POSTPONEMENT

• The day will ONLY be cancelled if severe weather is forecast. You will be notified via Compass if the day is cancelled.

BARE FEET & SPIKED SHOES

• ‘Pyramid’ or ‘Christmas Tree’ spikes are permitted in hurdles, sprints, relays and jumps, but must be removed at the completion of the event, in all age groups.
• All age groups permitted to wear spikes for 100m, 200m, Hurdles, Relay, Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump.
• Spikes are not permitted in the 800m or the 1500m events – for any age groups.
• The maximum length of spikes is 7 mm for all events with the exception of high jump, long jump and triple jump where 9mm spikes are permitted. ‘Needle’ or ‘Pin’ spikes are not permitted to be worn in any event.
• Athletes may use starting blocks.

CONTINUATION TO CASEY NORTH DIVISION

• 1^ST & 2^ND PLACINGS FOR TRACK & FIELD EVENTS except High Jump WILL PROCEED TO DIVISION ATHLETICS.
• Only 1^st place for High Jump will proceed to Division.
• Students who qualify for Division Athletics will receive further information from their school.
• The first 3 place getters in each event will receive a RIBBON.
